WSOP Wednesday = Three Bracelet Winners

Wednesday proved to be a big day at the 2007 World Series of Poker at eh Rio Resort in Las Vegas. Three final tables were staged and played with three new champions picking up gold, Corum watches and cash. Event #19, $2500 No-Limit Hold’em was won by Francois Safieddine, after he defeated a blue ribbon final table and eliminated John “The Razor” Phan in heads up play. The first place money totaled $521,785 while Phan goes away with $330,846.

Event #20, $2000 Seven Card Stud Hi Lo ended in true poker fashion when Ryan Hughes makes quad Tens to take all the chips from his heads-up opponent Min Lee. Ryan receives $176,358 in cash plus the bracelet and Corum Watch while Lee collects $97,461. Check out the PokerNews.com winners interview video here.
The third final table of the day was another classic poker shootout. In fact, Event #21 was the $1500 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout. When the smoke cleared Don Baruch was the champion. Don rides off with a gold bracelet, Corum watch and $264,107 in cash. Jared Davis finished second for $149,263. Daniel Negreanu was the chip leader most of the day but let the victory slip away when the deck turned cold. He collected $101,351 for third.
