Crowd favorite Gavin Smith just missed picking up a WSOp bracelet when he fell short by one. The natural skills and experience couldn’t overcome the aggresive style and card favored Mike Segal in the WSOP Event #4, $1500 Buy-In Pot-Limit Hold’em. Mike played solid poker and continued to accumulate the chips until he had them all. He also goes home with a gold bracelet and $252,290 in cash. A very nice present to receive and give to his wife on their same day wedding anniversary Tuesday.
Gavin walked away with $155,645 as first runner up while third place finisher Jon Friedberg banked $101,276.
