The Jersey Boys joins The Palazzo for 2008
The theater much less the casino itself won’t open until next year, but Tony-Award winning musical The Jersey Boys
will be at The Palazzo, the new $1.8 billion neighboring casino resort-hotel to The Venetian.
Inspired by the life of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, The Jersey Boys
has been performing to sold-out audiences on Broadway since it opened in 2005.
Much like Mamma Mia!
, the musical takes popular songs such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” “Walk Like a Man,” and fashions them into a storyline.
The show, with book by Marshall Briockman and Rick Elice and lyrics by Bob Crewe, features music by Bob Gaudio and will be directed by Des McAnuff, who brought The Who’s Tommy
to stage.
