Two more twenty-something poker players squared off in event #35, $1500 No-Limit Hold’em to decide who would wear the coveted WSOP Gold. Ryan Young and Dustin Dirksen came to the final table as the chip leaders and never looked back until they were heads-up at the table in the stealth room away from the prying eyes of fans and casual spectators. This day the game belonged to young Ryan Young. He defeated Dustin Dirksen to take down the Corum watch, his first WSOP bracelet and $615,955 in prize money. Dirksen walks with $381,382 in cash for his afternoon’s work. Noted poker professional Nam Le was third for $239,230.
Congratulations to Ryan Young for his winning ways at the 2007 WSOP happening now at the Rio Resort in Las Vegas.
