Paris Hilton sought for Vegas role in Gilligan's Island: The Musical

Not only is Gilligan’s Island: The Musical

coming to Las Vegas, but producers are putting out feelers to try to get Paris Hilton to play Ginger after she gets out of jail.

Based on the popular TV series, the musical is written by show creator Sherwood Schwartz and his son Lloyd. Keeping it in the family, the music is by Schwartz’s daughter Hope and son-in-law Laurence Juber. Not for a lack of talent, though — Juber has scored movies and was part of Paul McCartney’s Wings.

Already in the cast is another Schwartz alumni — Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady on Schwartz’s “The Brady Bunch.”

We think Hilton as Ginger would be perfect casting, and she wouldn’t even need to sing and dance all that much.
