Magician Nathan Burton to freeze himself in block of ice

Magician Nathan Burton (recently seen on “America’s Got Talent”) will promote his show and the new Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood by encasing himself in a block of ice.
Beginning today, an M-shaped ice sculpture will be displayed at the north Strip entrance to the Miracle Mile Shops.
Inside will be Burton accompanied with a revolving group of four showgirls each.
The sculpture weighs 10 tons and contains 10-inch thick walls. It can stay intact for three days in 100-degree weather.
He will be in the ice for 24 hours and released Tuesday at 10 a.m. when workers break through the ice to rescue Burton in time for him to rest up for his two shows on Wednesday afternoon.
Last year, Burton was locked in a glass box with seven different showgirls for seven days. We walked by in the middle of the night, saw the box hanging in the old Desert Passage at Aladdin, and he looked wide awake with showgirls chatting on cell phones.
We found a craigslist ad for the girls, or rather “sexy ladies with great attitudes.” They receive $45 per one-hour shift. Not bad for hanging out in frozen water.
