FUUCK!!
This game can be so frustrating.
Sunday I played 4 tourneys, all of a sudden I have a stack deep in the sunday million out of 5,500 for a shot at the 160k first prize. Of course I get it all in with AA vs AK and lose, and QQ vs JJ and lose, finally with like 90 left a guy raises in the cutoff and Im on the button with QK so I decide to reshove, sb instajams his stack for nearly all of my chips...he shows AJ which is pretty laughable and of course I dont catch a break in a 60/40 for what could have put me in the FT.
At the same time I was deep in the UB 200k, I managed to make it to the final table even though I was steaming from the million tourney. I went into the FT with a 4th in chips stack which is good enough for me usually to get top 3 spots, I wasn't thinking to clearly and I made a mistake that cost me my stack with 8 left. After raising and getting reshoved with 22 I raised the very next hand with TT, bb thought for a while and called, the flop came J87 giving me a gutshot. I really didnt want to get bluffed out of this pot so I decided to bet the pot on the flop leaving myself 75k in chips with a 210k pot, he shoved on me and I called he had KJ and held, GG me for a dissapointing 8th.
Today I played a couple of tourneys, busted out of all of them then managed to get a sick stack in the bodog sattelite for the $12k WPT foxwoods seat. It only payed 1 seat which REEEEAAALLY sucks. I get HU and basically outplay the dude for every small pot, I only really hit 1 big hand and got no action from it...I played a reeaally tough hand out of position that REALLY sucked, it went kind of like this:
I have the lead in chips, button limps I raise 3600 with QQ, he instacalls. flop was 869 I think with 2 clubs, I bet like 6000 and he calls pretty fast, turn 5 which is sick, I check and he bets like 11k into an almost 20k pot, I guess I should have folded or shoved here, but really folding seems like the best play he could easily have 67 87 97 107 57 or two clubs with a pair... I call and the river is a 7 of clubs putting a str8 on board along with a 3 flush...I check he shoves for the size of the pot and most of my stack...calling would be dumb. Just a sick spot.
After that I chipped back up to even in chips, I get AQs on the button and I raise to 4800 he instashoves for like the 2nd or 3rd time the whole match....not much I can do, gotta race I guess..of course he flops the heartbreaking 8 on the door, and I'm left with no hope. So pissed right now, I want to play as many 10k's as possible and the only way is to sattelite in. So damn close pisses me off 100x more than losing in the first minute.
Anyway, I'm playing great suddenly, so Im happy with that good timing before the wpt event. |
