There wasnt really much to talk about but I ended up writing a long ass blog because I tend to overwrite usually :-).
Anyway piece of shit myspace ended up deleting my post. (maybe I need to find another place to blog where there arent so many technical problems.)
I dont want to write nearly as much as I did so I'll try to go through it in a cliff notes way.
Thursday- Played the Jerry buss charity event at the bike for $1500 I got to play with THE Mr. Buss..and the whole time I was thinking to myself "damn.. two years ago I would have never even thought about playing with the owner of the lakers!" ...It was weird and surreal to say the least, but it didnt last long cuz Amir Vahedi took revenge for busting him out of the 1k limit, and he busted me out of this in a hurry..
Friday- I played 3 sattelites and didnt get my seat...I was pissed off to say the least..and I realized that when I do travel, I'm going to go straight to the main event from now on..stop wasting my time.
Saturday- Got drunk and dont remember much.
Sunday- busted out of all the sunday tourneys within half an hour. I decided to join a 60 man winner take all $300 buy in Sattelite for an $18k package to the aussie millions...of course I had the chiplead 4 handed and managed to bust 4th.
Monday- traveled back home all day
Tuesday- Played a winners choice event for a 12k wpt or wsop package...13 handed I get AA with a 19k or so stack go in vs 10's and AKs for a 55k pot with a 22k avg stack, and of course flop is QQ3 turn 10 ....sigh* I wanted to cry..but I didn't.
Today- donked out of the $300, donked out of the $150, donked out of the $55k...then got coolered in every 10/20 nl pot I played, and for the first time in my poker career I threw shit at the walls and almost broke my laptop (luckily it landed on something soft and I could keep playing) however, within an hour I won 4 buy-ins and a $200 sit n go. So I managed to book a win for the first time in a looong time.
I havent cashed a tourney since I was 15 it seems, and its really starting to bother me. Everytime someone repops me I put them on the nuts. The only two times I feel Ive played incredibly good where in the 2 sattelites that I *should have* won. Other than that, I'm leaking, a lot and I need to get rid of it before the wcoop. I think my main problem is lack of patience and motivation. I really wanted to go to Australia, so I played my A game, however Im not as motivated in beating out 1700 people in the $11r to win 15k. I'll start being more and more patient, and by the time september 17th comes around, I'll be back to my A+++ game. Hopefully Im running well by then too :-). |
