Finally playing well, finally found patience, and I think I found my balls again.
Lol, it sounds like I'm excited about just cashing, but Im not, Im excited that I'm playing well, and finally busting because of shitty situations most of the time. Not because I just didnt feel like playing, or I just gave up, like I had been in the last few months online.
I still dont think I'm running great, but like I told a friend " In March, I would've considered this running bad, but now, after the past two months, this feels like a heater."
I've cashed in at least 1 tourney every day for the past 4 days, and after not cashing any in a while I finally got a bit of confidence back.
Today I played the usual sunday line up, Million on stars, $200K UB, $200k Tilt, 2nd chance stars, 100r stars, and the desperation "i need to win something tourney" 11r $55k on stars. (oh yea and a $200 wpt choice tourney).
Well the Million was the center of my focus of course, I started off weak, but slowly started gaining momentum and picking up chips, restealing in good spots, bluffing in good spots, and flopping a few decent hands for decent pots.. soon I was my table chiplead...I lost most of my chips in one hand (I honestly dont remember which but i think it was something dumb like a race or a suckout) anyway I shoved my 10bb stack with 10/5s from the bb to 2 late position limpers, of course one of them decided to limp AA and I got to suckout...I then built my stack up nicely and had like 27k with about 500/1k blinds some dude shoved 9k from UTG and I called from the blind with 88 I lose the raise and I'm down to like 18k...then it folds to the CO who shoves his 8k stack and Im in the SB with AQ, I call of course and he happens to have AK..god...so gross. Finally I get into another race with 99 vs AQ of course the flop comes 10 J K and Im drawing dead. GG
I then played the tilt tourney, and went out with KK vs a flush draw. obv flush on the river.
On UB i made a small mistake with a short stack calling a stop n go with QQ on a K46 board. I could have folded.
I was too busy trying to win the Million tourney to notice how I got my stack, but I do remember that once I had a stack (at 12k) I got in with 99 calling off my chips to what looked like a squeeze..dude had JJ and flop came J99...nice... I was 3rd in chips with 170 to go, like 150 pay or so, then a series of bad spots, like QQ vs AA, missed small bluff attempt and AK vs QK all in pre (obv flush on the river) crippled me... I finally shoved 93 from the small blind when it folded to me, of course BB wakes up with QQ. GG 122nd..ugh I had a real shot at the 40k, but whatever if I dont lose that AK vs KQ I would have gotten way deep.
In the 55k I had a mooonster stack, and decided to try and bluff some donkey. Then I went card dead and busted with a shortstack.
Thats about it, not a great sunday at all, but certainly better than the past 4 sundays. |
