Hoyt Corkins proved he’s the best on this day after topping a field loaded with well known poker professsionals. Hoyt demonstrated the metal required to win in today’s large, highly talented poker tournaments. This is the srcond WSOP bracelet awarded to Corkins following his first WSOP win fifteen years ago in the $5K Pot Limit Omaha Event of 1992’s WSOP. Hoyt received his second bracelet, a Corum watch and $515,065 in cash. Second place goes to Terrence Nguyen along with $287,345.
Hoyt Corkins has been a solid poker professional with lifetime earnings over $3 million. He played heads-up against Mike Matusow in the 2005 WSOP Champions Invitational Championship at Caesars Palace where he just missed taking down the title. Congratulations to Hoyt for his 2007 WSOP victory.
