Two weeks from today the command will be given for the players seated in the first event of the 2007 World Series of Poker to “Shuffle Up and Deal.” I’ve selected a few photos from last year’s record setting 2006 WSOP at the Rio resort in Las Vegas. The WSOP is the poker event that started it all when a wise ole gambler named Benny Binion got together with some of his poker playing friends and they figured out a way to determine who was the best poker player in the world. Anyone with $10,000 and a little card sense could enter and win the coveted World title, thus guaranteeing poker immortality and a place in history. A bracelet and some cash, too. The tradition continues into the new millennium starting June 1st, High Noon at teh Rio Resort in Las Vegas. Hope the photos gets the adrenaline pumping.
