Day six of the WSOP continued with an action packed day that included six simultaneous tournaments. Two bracelets were awarded while two new events started and two others continued with their second day of action.
The Buzz
Henderson,NV resident Burt Boutin won a bracelet in the $5K PLO with Rebuys event that featured a tough final table with Humberto Brenes, John Juanda, Devilfish, and Minh Ly. Of course, Boutin was full of nervous energy. Perhaps it was all the red bull he was consuming but he kept pacing back and forth on the final table stage. The Backstory
The backstory (total pun intended) was Brandi Hawbaker playing in the Event #10 $2,000 NL event with Capt. Tom Franklin. At one point, she was among the chipleaders. The part-time stripper and drama queen was also seen sweating David Skalansky, who is supposedly her poker mentor.

Sight of the Day
The sight of the day was the big black sheets in the Amazon Ballroom that covered the final table of the Limit Hold’em event. Bluff had exclusive rights to broadcast the final table on the internet (with a delay) and had sequestered the players in the event including confiscating their cellphones until the final table ended. The players sat at a table hidden by sheets in front of the final stage area.

Quote of the Day
“These guys can’t even spell O-M-A-H-A,” joked Devilfish who was seeking his second bracelet.

Hand of the Day
In Event #7 $5K PLO with Rebuys, the final hand was by far the hand of the day. Heads up, Burt Boutin called the small blind. Erik Cajelais raised another 240K from the big blind. Boutin called. 720K in the pot. The flop was Ac-Jc-5c. Cajelais moved all in for 340K. Boutin called with Ad-Qs-8s-7c. Cajelais flipped over Ah-Qh-10s-3c. The were tied at the moment with a pair of Aces with a Queen kicker. However, Boutin took the lead on the turn when the 7h fell. Cajelais had outs for a win or a chop and was still alive. However, the 4s on the river sealed the victory for Burt Boutin. He won $825,956 and his second bracelet.
