433 players began the Championship event.

The $10,000 Championship event of the Festa Al Lago at the Bellagio Resort kicked off today at High Noon with 433 players vying for a prize pool of $4,200,100. The event continues through Friday when another poker millionaire (winner gets $1,090,025) will be created on national television. The WPT sanctioned tournament had a top heavy roster of poker professionals, all gathered in the Fontana room for the annual event. A photo journey through Monday’s tournament follows.
