Allen Cunningham favored to win 2006 World Series of Poker Championship

Tuesday’s World Series of Poker Main Event Day 7 played down to the surviving nine players making the 2006 final table lineup. Flipchip’s pre-event pick to win the 2006 WSOP Championship, Allen Cunningham, will be the only known professional at the final table and certainly the class talent. Cunningham goes into Thursday’s final table second on the chip list with $17.7 million.

Chip leader, Jay Gold, ends the day with $26 million in chips after having a day’s high of more than $30 million. Gold , a former Hollywood talent agent, was playing with the confidence of a man that is catching his share of flops. Wednesday is an off day for the main event. Event #45, the last of the scheduled 2006 WSOP events is a 1 Day $1,500 buy-in NLHE, begans at 10:00 AM Wednesday.
