Sally Boyer, 2007 World Series of Poker Ladies World Champion

Tuesday at the 2007 WSOP saw the crowning of two new champions. Event #17, Ladies $1000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, concluded when winner Sally Anne Boyer of Utah bested Anne Heft in the final heads up hand to take the match. Sally Boyer collected the jeweled gold WSOP Ladies WSOP Bracelet, a Corum watch and $262,077 in cash. Anne Heft received $166,177 for her second place effort. The two ladies topped an event record field of more than 1200 players.

Event #18, $5000 Limit Hold’em played down to a champion on Tuesday evening with Saro Getzoyan coming out on top to claim the gold and $333,379 in prize money. Geoff Sanford was second in the contest and collected $200,511.
