"Speed, The Ride" roller coaster strands 16 people

Oops.
Yesterday at 3:30 p.m., roller coaster “Speed, The Ride” at Sahara stalled and stopped for an hour, with 16 people left stranded 15 feet in the air.
A circuit blew and the system rolled them back a bit and then stopped, right before they were headed for a loop.
No rider was hurt, and shoulder safety bars did not malfunction.
The 45-second ride zooms through loops of 360 degrees, speeds of 70 mph, heights of 224 feet, drops of 25 feet, and 3.5 G forces – and then repeats the whole thing in reverse. The system is programmed to stop whenever a circuit breaks.
Single tickets cost $10, all-day passes cost $21.95, and if the circuit breaks again, you’ll ride for free.
